Washington County Bar Association Sponsored Events

The Washington County Bar Association,  in coordination with the Washington County Law Library, presents monthly Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs free of charge. Membership in the Washington County Bar Association is not required for attendance in either the streamed or live events. An on-demand repository is being developed for members of he WCBA.

    The Washington County Law Library holds a civil legal clinic for citizens of Washington County who are in need of civil legal services. Please note that this is not a clinic for family law. The civil legal clinic does provide consultations and possibly pro bono representation on default judgments, housing issues, evictions, conciliation court, debtor and creditor relations, automobile title transfers, judgment collection, and a variety of consumer law issues. Clinics are staffed by attorneys knowledgeable in the area of law to provide a free consultation and possibly pro bono representation.     The Washington County Law Library provides a criminal law clinic for citizens of Washington County who are accused of committing crimes. Clinics are staffed by attorneys knowledgeable in the area of law to provide a free consultation and possibly pro bono representation.     The Washington County Law Library hosts legal advice clinics for family law on the first and third Tuesday every month between 1pm and 3:30pm. Topics covered include divorce, child support, child custody, paternity, spousal maintenance or alimony, name changes, and domestic abuse. Clinics are staffed by attorneys knowledgeable in the area of law to provide a free consultation and possibly pro bono representation.
